Stuck in a make-up/break-up funk with her ex-boyfriend, college-dropout Clyde Jenks (Sydney Slotkin) spends her days in Atlanta, Ga singing for a pseudo-Christian indie rock band (with a 53 year-old lead guitarist) and halfheartedly dating a French exchange student named Maurice (Simon Trouilloud).
When one day Maurice takes off unannounced for Austin, Texas, Clyde hops a Greyhound bus to the lone star state to go in search for him. Meanwhile, back in Atlanta, Clyde's best friend Regina (Rebecca Dorff) and ex-boyfriend Emile (Augie Praley) worry the impulsive Clyde may be in over her head and they, too, set out for Texas to track Clyde down and bring her home safe.
What follows are the strange and wonderful stories of these three road trips across the American South: including polyglot hostel clerks, scheming filipino girls, estranged mothers, wrecked cars, obscure headlight regulations, handstands and an enthusiastic burrito-stand worker/new love interest.
